Summer Teen Library Workshops

If your child is aged 10-18 and you looking for fun activities to fill the summer, be sure to stop by one of our workshops listed below. These workshops, presented by Seattle Center for Book Arts in partnership with the Seattle Public Libraries as part of the Summer Reading Program, and funded by the Mayor's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, are free drop-in workshops - no pre-registration required!

Double-sided BookAges 10 - 14
The Double-sided Book is two books that share a back cover, which presents an opportunity to house two stories or ideas in the same structure. This project is a standard book format with a twist, that provides youth participants a feeling of accomplishment creating a familiar object, while conceptualizing the sculptural possibilities of a book. Students interpret and organize the concepts in the book's content to relate to the book's physical structure.
