Found and Bound: Making Books from Recycled Materials with Amy Fleischer
Learn how to make books from scratch, using low-cost or recycled materials, to fit almost any purpose! This workshop will focus on creative problem solving and experimentation, as we aim to adapt ancient book structures to our own contemporary uses. Have you ever wondered how to turn that ruined library book into a blank journal? Want to transform your favorite album cover into a sketchbook? This workshop will provide you with tried and true techniques for customizing your book project to fit a specific use, such as a travel or garden log, guest or baby book- the possibilities are endless. With guidance from the instructor and collaboration among peers, you’ll be amazed at the unique projects that will emerge from materials you almost threw away!
