SCBA Classes and Events

SCBA offers classes and workshops on a wide variety of book arts related topics and techniques. We also accept class proposals if you are interested in teaching a workshop for us. Download a Class Proposal form here: MS Word document or PDF document. Full-time high school or college students will receive a 50% discount on tuition, but must pay the full materials fee. (Provide documentation of full time current enrollment in the form of a copy of a student ID card for high school students or a copy of the current term registration confirmation for college students.) Design & Print Photopolymer Letterpress Plates the Low-Tech Way with Jenny Sapora

This workshop brings the process of making photopolymer letterpress plates to the masses to show you how to set up for yourself a fully functional, low-tech, low-budget, photopolymer studio in your kitchen. Create negative images – experimenting with various media & techniques, sun-expose your plates, develop them, and print them on a proof press.

Creating Altered Books with Naomi Kasumi
